NWA TechFest is a technology conference that brings together the tech community to learn from and interact with one another, as well as promote gender diversity in STEM, economic development opportunities for corporations, and education programs for students and teachers. Proceeds from this conference go to assist STEM-related initiatives in the Northwest Arkansas community.
Conference will begin with breakfast at 7:45am, lunch provided, and end by 4:00 pm.

Sarah Daigle & Currant TechSarah’s twitter bio is a short and staccato; “Canadian- American. Educated woman. A mother of boys. Step-mom to teen girls. Someone who thinks code is sexy, and teaching is a high calling.
Though, Sarah is a tech junkie with experience in coding, mobile and web software development and tech initiatives. She hails from New Brunswick, Canada, but has called Arkansas home for 15 years. She runs around with an energetic group of women bloggers though mostly spends her time building and fixing blogs than writing them.
With a passion for tech education, Sarah has taught and created curriculum for kids, college students and grown-ups in corporate settings, as well as help with local tech education initiatives. Sarah is a member of the NWA Tonic Fund, a member managed seed capital fund based in Arkansas, investing in early stage technology and tech-enabled businesses across a variety of industries. Sarah is all about girl power. She champions women’s entrepreneurship and has been a part of programs that teach kids and women to code.

Becky Paulk is the owner of Simplify Professional Services, a full service bookkeeping and payroll services firm which began in March, 2009. Becky is a Certified Professional Bookkeeper and Certified QuickBooks Specialist with over 10 years of financial and analytical experience. She was born and raised in State College, PA, is a Penn State University graduate as well as a graduate of Universal Accounting Centers. She is a member of the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers. She spent over 17 years at Wal-Mart in various positions including Financial Merchandise Planner, Internal Auditor and Project Manager for Asset Protection. In addition, she spent over 10 years in field operations with profit and loss responsibility for over 15 operating units.Becky has served several non-profits including Northwest Arkansas JDRF and Millwood Christian Church and was one of the co-founding members Dig 4 Diabetes.
Blake is an NWA native who spent 10 yrs in retail analytics before transitioning to a career in software development and is passionate about the local developer community. He’s the organizer of fayetteville.js, NWA Free Code Camp and the NWA Developers Slack group. He currently develops software at RevUnit in Bentonville and teaches Node.js at the U of A Global Campus.
Zac McCool is a volunteer junkie, cat whisperer, video game aficionado, and a decent technologist. He volunteers with Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, Children’s Safety Center, and Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Northwest Arkansas. Currently he’s a Project Manager at J.B. Hunt.
